15.06.2009 - Flexible integration of electronic signatures
fideAS® sign 2.0 also integrates signatures into communications
The Applied Security GmbH has presented a new version of its signature solution fideAS® sign at the beginning of June. With a considerably larger scope of functions, the software now allows for the integration of digital signatures into many different applications.
Stockstadt, June 15, 2009 – Version 2.0 of the signature solution provides a whole range of additional features. Not only has it been equipped with a different user interface, but also with an entirely new program design. From now on, it can be used to integrate digital signatures not only into files, but also into e-mail attachments and SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) communications.
These improvements were made possible by the new “line concept” providing the basis for fideAS® sign 2.0. It requires the user to define initial points and terminal points for every signature line. The initial points and the terminal points specify where the original data to be signed are located and in which form they are supposed to be made available after the electronic signature. In version 2.0, these data do not have to be fetched from directories. Neither do they have to be returned to a directory. Possible signature lines are for example e-mail or SOAP connections.
With this concept, fideAS® sign offers a comfortable solution for various use cases. It provides for example an easy integration of digital signatures into applications particularly important for the business process. Up to now, files had to be digitally signed and then e-mailed to the desired recipient in several workflow steps. fideAS® sign now takes care of that in one fully automated process using an e-mail line. This simplifies for example the generation and transmission of electronic invoices decisively, thereby rendering the entire operations process much more cost-effective.
The function scope of the new version of fideAS® sign also includes a comfortable digital workflow control. It allows for the easy administration of workflow processes in the intranet. The automated signature of every workflow step along a SOAP line ensures the full traceability of every single action.
The new user interface is a huge improvement – not only visually. It integrates the entire function scope of fideAS® sign into a web tool and makes the use of the software a lot more convenient and efficient.
