Largest PR agency in Michigan banks on security made in Germany
The business expansion of the IT security specialist Applied Security (apsec) from Stockstadt/Main into the United States bears first fruit. Only three months after the establishment of the branch office Applied Security US Inc. in Grand Rapids, Michigan, apsec wins its first major customer there.
Stockstadt/Grand Rapids, April 30—- From now on, Lambert, Edwards & Associates, the largest investor relations agency in the state of Michigan and PR agency for many companies in the US financial and health care sector, will be using the encryption and data leakage prevention solution fideAS® file enterprise provided by the IT security specialists from Stockstadt. Don Hunt, Managing Director at Lambert, Edwards & Associates and former journalist with the New York Times, emphasizes the importance of confidentiality in his business sector: Our customers, like for example Spectrum Health, Strongtower Financial or the National Heritage Academy, trust our company to treat their data confidentially. As an investor relations agency, we often process highly confidential information long before it goes public. Data theft could greatly damage our customers’ reputation – and our own as well. This is why, with fideAS® file enterprise, we are glad to have installed an encryption solution meeting all our requirements now.
fideAS® file enterprise helps companies with the secure processing of confidential data by providing strong encryption and other data leakage prevention functions like copy protection for confidential files and control of mobile devices. The software runs invisibly in the background of a user’s workstation and automatically encrypts files according to a centrally managed policy. Every security-relevant event and data access is written to a tamper-proof log.
The software allows companies to meet all legal requirements without any hassle. It protects them from the loss of customer data and from the subsequent obligation of publishing this loss. Because this is what the law in the USA says, as Steve Lassig, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Vice President of the Applied Security US Inc. explains. Smiling, he adds: I am very glad to have won Lambert, Edwards & Associates as our first customer. Because I know that, as a PR agency, they would hate nothing more than having to inform the public of the loss of their customer data.
