New release 3.2 of the certification software fideAS® miniCA is now also available for Windows Vista
Digital certificates provide the basis for practically every IT security application. Whether it be the encryption of sensitive data, the generation of digital signatures or the daily login to the Windows operating system, the background processes generally use digital certificates.
With the new release 3.2 of its solution fideAS® miniCA, the Applied Security GmbH has done its part to ensure that everybody can take advantage of this sophisticated security technology, even small and medium-sized companies. The certification software provides for the generation of cryptographic keys and X.509 certificates in conformance with the relevant standards and supports the use of almost every commercially available smartcard and USB token.
Version 3.2 is the first version of fideAS® miniCA to feature support of Windows Vista and Windows 2008 Server. Besides that, the certificates generated with fideAS® miniCA can now also be used for logging on to the operating system. The software is very easy to use and affordable for smaller budgets as well.
